Ingredients Method

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a mixer, blend together the brown sugar and softened butter for 3-5 minutes until light in color.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the dry ingredients, (flour, salt, baking soda) and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly blended in.
  6. Pour the dough mixture into a greased pie plate and press in until flat and even along the top.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until baked through. When it comes out of the oven, don’t cut into until completely cooled. You can heat it later in the microwave or the oven at a low temp, but the pie needs to cool so that it can set up.
