Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders are a great lunch, dinner, appetizer, or anytime snack! They are breeze to assemble and quick to cook. We made these for a group of 50 people and they were a huge hit. It was easy to more than quadruple the recipe and was a great, no-stress meal!
Can you make Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders ahead of time?
I wouldn’t fully assemble these sliders ahead of time because you risk the sliders getting soggy upon reheating. If you want to prepare these ahead of time, have the bread cut and laid out in the pan, premake the filling, and have the butter topping ingredients mixed and ready to go. Then, when you make it, all you have to do is heat up the meat mixture, spread out the cheese, and brush the top with butter. They bake for 10-12 minutes when the meat mixture is heated.
How do you keep sliders from getting soggy?
Bake them uncovered for the correct amount of time. Don’t cover it with tin foil while it’s cooking or the steam will prevent the sandwiches from getting crispy.
Can you add other ingredients to Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders?
Yes! Add chopped tomatoes or chopped, cooked bacon to add extra flavor or volume to these sandwiches. Anything you like on a burger, you can add to these. If you have shredded lettuce, you can add that as well.
Can you double this recipe?
Yes! The Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders are extremely simple to make in a large volume. One pack makes 12 sliders. If you make two packs, you can fit them snuggly into one 9×13 baking pan. If you need to decrease costs while increasing volume, you can easily decrease the quantity of the beef and cheese in the recipe and bulk it up with cheaper ingredients!

How to Make Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders:
Specialty Equipment:
A pastry brush is the only thing you may want that isn’t always common in the kitchen. If you don’t have one, feel free to just spoon the butter over the top instead of brushing it.
If you’re looking for a 9×13 baking dish, I use Caraway’s Nontoxic Nonstick one and love it!
Ingredients:
1 package of Hawaiian Rolls
1 lb of ground beef, cooked
½ cup of chopped pickles
1 onion, chopped
3 tbsps of ketchup
3 tbsp of mustard
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
½ stick of butter
1 tbsp garlic powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cook your ground beef if you haven’t already. Here, you can add the onions before or after the meat is cooked, depending on what texture you want the onions to be. Season lightly with salt and pepper, because the ingredients are also salty.
Next, add the chopped pickles to the pot of ground beef and onions to heat it. Once the mixture is heated, remove it from the heat. Add the 3 tbsps of ketchup and 3 tbsps of mustard and mix thoroughly.
Line a baking sheet with tin foil, or use a casserole dish for the dinner rolls. If you’re doubling this recipe, 2 packs of Hawaiian Rolls fit snuggly into a 9×13 pan. Cut the dinner rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls in your pan. Cover the rolls with cheese. Top with the meat mixture and spread it out evenly. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
In a microwave-safe bowl, or in a small saucepan, melt the butter with 1 tbsp of garlic powder and a teaspoon of salt (or more to taste). Using a pastry brush, brush the melted seasoned butter over the top of the cheeseburger sliders. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
Serve hot and enjoy! What kind of sliders does your family enjoy?
