Simple Homemade Taco Pizza

A fun alternative to traditional pizza that can be adjusted and adapted to suit your family's preferences

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup greek yogurt or sour cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¾ cups or 6 oz salsa of your desired heat level
  • 1 can diced tomatoes drained
  • ½ lb cooked taco meat leftovers work great
  • 1 cup Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped chives
  • Toppings of your choice olives, shredded lettuce, sliced jalapenos, diced onions, cooked black beans
  • Prepared pizza crust

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Make sure your pizza crust has been baked according to the package or recipe instructions.
  • If you aren’t using leftovers and haven’t already, saute your ground beef with taco seasoning as your taco seasoning recipe directs.
  • Combine the cream cheese and greek yogurt (or sour cream) with a pinch of salt. Spread onto the prebaked pizza dough.
  • Mix the salsa and drained tomatoes and pour onto the pizza.
  • Top with the heated taco meat and shredded cheese.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the pizza is heated through.
  • Immediately cover with desired toppings and serve.
