A crispy and spicy appetizer that is quick to make with only a few ingredients!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Servings: 16 pieces
Course: Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 2-4 jalapenos seeded and diced
  • 6 ounces of cream cheese softened (can be plain or flavored)
  • 6 ounces of shredded cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 roll of defrosted puff pastry

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Seed and dice 2-4 large jalapenos; the amount depends on your spice tolerance or desire.
  3. Using a rolling pin, roll out the sheet of puff pastry to about a 9x13 size. *
  4. Spread the cream cheese evenly across the rolled puffed pastry. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and then the jalapenos evenly across the cream cheese.
  5. Use your hands or a bench scraper to help you roll the puffed pastry into the pinwheel shape. Use a sharp knife to cut the puff pastry into 16 equal pieces.
  6. Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is beginning to turn golden brown along the edges.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan. Serve warm. These are best served right away, but if you have leftovers, store them in a sealed container in the fridge.

Notes

*Note: This is done the easiest if you use parchment paper underneath the puff pastry, or lightly flour the surface you’re rolling it out on.
